It's amazing what a baby can do when not bracketed painfully in place. I like the hint of a rockabilly curl she's developing in front.
You've heard the nursery rhyme about the little girl with the little curl in the middle of her forehead, right? (when she was good, she was very good, but when she was bad she was horrid). In Polly's case, it just means she's been sweating a lot and needs a bath.
Kindly cite (and cite check) your sources:
There was a little girl
by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

G'pa H'stra thinks that should be "very, very good". Good grief Sara - we went over that hundreds of times! Also, while we're on the subject of "long term memory", the latter part should always be HORRID!!!!!!!! This is the part at which you laughed with utter joy. Speaking of modified storys to satisfy a Daughter's demands, does one recall the three little pigs that had trouble with their building contractor & subsequent problems with their attorney??
